Parking Birmingham Airport - Types of Parking
There are 3 main types of airport parking Birmingham to choose from – Park and Ride, Meet and Greet and Park and Walk. Each of these is either an official option offered by the airport itself or an off-site option provided by an external company. The main difference between the two is the price. Official options are more convenient as they are closer and so tend to cost a lot more than off-site options.
Park and Ride Services
Park and Ride BHX Airport parking is a great value option, especially for long term trips (a week or more). You either park the car yourself and keep the keys or drop it off at the car park reception with your keys and it is parked for you. A shuttle bus will then take you the short distance to the airport. At Birmingham Airport the transfer typically takes no longer than 15 minutes. Park and Ride is a fantastic option if you want to save money and don’t mind the slight inconvenience of having to catch a bus.
Off-site Park and Ride Options
- Aph are the cheapest Park and Ride option with shuttles taking 15 minutes to reach the airport and with the slightly more expensive self-park option also available
Official Park and Ride Options
- Car Park 7 buses run twice an hour and take 5 to 10 minutes to reach the terminal. You will need to park your car and hand in your keys.

Meet and Greet Services

Park and Walk Services
Park and Walk service are the best option if you are looking for parking near Birmingham Airport. These services are all provided by Birmingham Airport and are situated near the terminal, ensuring you only have a short walk with your luggage to the check-in desks.
- Car Park 1 is the closest car park to the terminal and is a multi-storey, so your car will be protected from the elements while you are away. It is just a 1 minute walk to the terminal.
- Car Park 2 & 3 are slightly further away from the terminal, but are also situated in a multi-story car park with a few minutes walk to the terminal.
